Bransby Wilson to help raise funds for Down Syndrome Support Group by taking part in the York 10k.

York Down Syndrome Support Group is a York-based, parent-led support group. It was established to help develop and create conditions that enable children with Down Syndrome to accomplish their full potential. The support group provides personal support to new parents or parents with an antenatal diagnosis in different forms.

They’ve been hosting monthly sessions for families to gather together to talk and play. They offer training for weekly speech and language groups, lend resources, and conduct regular social events for families and professionals. The group wants to actively promote Down Syndrome awareness and support research about aspects of living with Down Syndrome.

Bransby Wilson wants to support the group to fulfil its purpose. On 3rd August, 2025, there’s a 10k running race throughout the city of York to raise funds. The funds raised will be donated to York Down Syndrome Support Group to help them with their facilitation. Our team members will be participating in the 10k to help raise £6,000 and we’re also the shirt sponsor for the event.

The donations raised can contribute towards the support group’s aim to gain new parent support packs and facilitate the support group’s clubs. The York 10k hopes to raise awareness of the great work York Down Syndrome Support Group does for local families.
